Introducing The Newest piCture pOlish Shade, WHIMSY!

 Press Sample
Today is a very exciting day for Neverland Nail Blog, friends!

I was fortunate enough to participate in the piCture pOlish Blog Fest 2012 last July. I had such a blast testing some new piCture pOlish shades and doing a fun little photoshoot along with my swatches! Through that, I was offered the opportunity to collaborate with piCture pOlish and create a limited edition shade of my very own =]! I've kept this awesome news to myself for quite some time (and it has NOT been easy =P!), but the time has come to unveil my creation!

Well, lovelies, here it is....introducing, Whimsy!

Bottle Macro =]

It took me some time to dream up the polish that I wanted to make a reality, but I eventually found the perfect inspiration though fashion (a photo of an adorable party dress, to be exact). This vivid aqua blue with luxe golden micro flakies is downright magical and took my breath away from the moment I first laid eyes on it! I am extremely proud and honored to have my blog, as well as my own personal style, represented by this incredible lacquer =]!

piCture pOlish has a little bit to share about Whimsy, too, in their official description:

"Whimsy was created with Lindsey from Neverland Nail Blog

Inspiration:  A totally sensational blue dress with a touch of gold

Whimsy is an Azure blue creme with just a hint of gold sparks makes a totally dreamy combination!  You really need to see it to believe it!"

I couldn't agree more, you really do need to see to believe! On to the beautiful swatches!

There are other blue polishes with golden shimmer in them, but certainly nothing like this. I found Whimsy to be significantly brighter and more golden leaning (in person...my silly camera dulled the sparkle a bit) than other polishes in the same category. Besides, the opacity it gives is perfection! I used 3 coats for good measure, but 2 coats would do the job just fine! The formula, like every other piCture pOlish I've tried, was fabulous. Have I convinced you to give Whimsy a try yet? If not...check this baby out with a matte top coat (Hard Candy Matte-ly In Love, specifically).

I really hope you all are as excited about my creation as I am! I'd like to give major thanks to piCture pOlish for allowing me to take part in such an incredible opportunity. I'll never forget this, its a dream come true for a polish lover like me =]!

Sadly, this polish is only here for a limited time. If you can't live without this gorgeous specimen in your life, you'd better act fast! Who knows, if enough of us join together and form a Whimsy fan club (complete with matching jackets ;]), this shade might stick around longer than we think! It will be available for purchase on the piCture pOlish site very soon, so grab your own bottle today!

Head on over to the piCture pOlish Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages to stay in the know with Whimsy and many other amazing shades!

Have a lovely, whimsical day ;D!

♥,
Lindsey

piCture pOlish Friday - Mad Magenta with Holo Accents!

 Press Sample
Howdy!

Friday is upon us again, and with it, comes a special piCture pOlish celebration! Today's piCture pOlish Friday highlights the intense, vibrant, and unforgettable shade of Mad Magenta. This neon fuchsia polish really packs a punch...I promise, you'll be noticed with these nails! I normally am not a huge fan of pinky-purples since there are SO many of them out there (another reason I usually don't like reds!) and they have all looked the same to me, but this one is different...man, it sure is BRIGHT! Just 2 coats were needed for this mani. Take a peek!

I kept things nice and bold with the addition of a few accent nails of Layla Ocean Rush. Those with sensitive eyes...you may want to consider grabbing your sunglasses =]!

Mad Magenta is complete MADNESS! I'm digging this shade, and I know you will, too!

Have a bright and bold Friday, friends =]!

Lindsey

piCture pOlish...Tuesday? Sky with Linear Accents!

 Press Sample
Hello ladies and gents!

Due to some computer issues, piCture pOlish Friday has been moved to piCture pOlish Tuesday...hope you don't mind =]! Today's post highlights one the loveliest pastels you ever could see, piCture pOlish Sky. This lighter than light blue is soft and sweet! I was really happy with the opacity after just a few coats (3 to be exact, but 2 could work just fine!) since lighter colors usually leave bald spots. Take a peek at this beauty!

You guys know I can't leave any mani alone...so I added some linear accents on my ring finger using Zoya Zuza and Layla Gold Idol. I'm in love with the color combo!

I've also used Sky for a pedi recently and I was really happy with how it looked on my toesies =] I HIGHLY recommend this polish as a staple pastel blue creme. You won't be disappointed one bit!

Be sure to check out piCture pOlish on Facebook for updates and exciting news!

Have a wonderful Tuesday, I'll chat with you all again soon =]!

♥,
Lindsey

piCture pOlish Friday - Candy with a Fan Brush Accent!

 Press Sample
Hey there!

It's piCture pOlish Friday on the blog again, folks, and today's installment is particularly delicious =]! If you are searching for a light yet bright pink that is sweet as can be, look no further than piCture pOlish Candy. Just like all the other piCture pOlish lacquers I've tried, this one applied like a dream and was nicely opaque in 2 quick coats. This cute shade is perfect for the Summertime and I think you'll agree after seeing the pictures...check them out!

As pretty as this polish is on its own, I decided to add a fan brush accent to pump it up even more. I used piCture pOlish Mad Magenta...wowza, it sure packs a punch! You'll see this beauty in a post of its own very soon =]

I love the bold simplicity of this look (if that makes sense at all...it does in my head =P). I highly encourage you to try something like this...I'm thinking neons? Like blues and greens? YES PLEASE. Let me know if you give it a shot, I'd love to see what your brilliant mind can come up with =]!

Be sure to check out piCture pOlish on Facebook for updates and exciting news!

Have a wonderful day!

piCture pOlish Friday - Shocked!

 Press Sample
Hey buddies!

I'm a week behind on my awesome piCture pOlish Friday series, eek! Forgive me...I won't bore you with excuses, I'd rather just get to the polish =]!

This time, I was able to play with Shocked, a bright berry pink with holographic micro glitter. This beauty was dreamed up by Shatter Me Claire and I'm loving what she came up with! The formula was really good, but my one complaint is that bald spots kept appearing during application...boo. With a little patience, though, I was able to overcome those pesky flaws and ended up with a lovely manicure! Take a peek!

Beautiful! My pictures show 2 coats, but I see that a third would have made the color even more intense and opaque. Oh well, next time =]!

Be sure to check out piCture pOlish on Facebook for updates and exciting news!

Have a lovely day =]!

♥,
Lindsey
