Hello Ladies and Gents!

Welcome back =P Earlier today I showed you swatches of Orly Androgynie and it sure is a BEAUTY on its own....however, I had even more fun with it by topping it with one coat of China Glaze Snow Globe, a multi-colored  iridescent sheer glitter (definitely meant for layering). Oh. My. Good. Golly. Gosh. Glitter CITY ahead! Beware! You might even want some sunglasses...cause this mani SHIIIIIINES. Take a look!

This mani is GORGEOUS. I haven't seen anyone try this combo yet (correct me if I'm wrong!), and I'm sure glad I gave it a shot. Please...if you don't own these two polishes yet, do yourself a favor, buy them, and then do this mani...you will NOT be sorry! Now, er....*poke* Are you alive? Anyone out there have a glitter attack?

Orly Androgynie!

Hi there =]!

Happy Tuesday =]! On my way back from school yesterday I hit Sally's in the hopes of finding some of the new Holiday collections...and I am SOOOO glad I did! Today I have for you swatches of Orly Androgynie (2 coats) from the Holiday Soiree Collection, a beautiful black jelly packed with a bunch of different glitters (micro gold, micro holo-silver, and blue-greenish hex). I didn't think I'd love this one as much as I do....I actually bought it initially because I knew someone in one of my polish FB groups would probably swap me for it, but I will NOT let this baby go! The pictures are without a top coat because I did a freaking amazing layering experiment right after...be on the lookout for that later today ;D Here we go!

Awww....it comes with a baby nail file =]! *Flash used*

It isn't as shiny here because I didn't add a top coat just yet...

One word- LOVE. This is such a unique, wintery color! I can't wait to wear this closer to Christmas time, but right now I'll wear it and just think about Christmas and New Years =] It was a tricky one to photograph, but I think the pictures give you a pretty good idea of what it looks like, though!

You do NOT want to miss my layering experiment later...check back here in a few hours ;D

Violent Lips- Pink Hearts!

Hello everyone =]!

I have some more pictures of Violent Lips today =]! This time, I tried this adorable pink with white hearts pattern. This design is a collaboration with Sugar Factory (a really cool candy store that I saw in Las Vegas, you can visit their website here). I couldn't find a direct link to this pattern, but you can find MANY more fun patterns at www.violentlips.com! I'm seriously loving these....if you'd like to read my review of these, click here! On to the pictures =]!

Sooooo cute! I love this shade of pink =]! I think I applied the top lip better this time...but I messed up the bottom lip a little...that's ok, I'm sure theirs a small learning curve with these. It's only my second time putting them on!

Ta daaa =]! Excuse me not looking too good...I've been working all day =P

This is the cutest thing EVER! My lovely mother just bought me and a friend tickets to Phooson, a really awesome concert coming up in Phoenix, and I'll definitely be wearing a pair of Violent Lips =]! Maybe I'll choose these ones ;D Go ahead and like the Violent Lips on Facebook by clicking here. Until next time, loves!

Essence Dress for a Moment topped with NYC Starry Silver Glitter

Hiiiiii =]

Last night when I was doing my nails, I was looking for a light, simple color as a palette cleanser since I have a tendency to do crazy, bright colors all the time =P I decided Essence Dress for a Moment would do just that! However....after my nails were done, they were pretty but....plain. It needed GLITTER =D! I put on NYC Starry Silver Glitter over the light purple and I love the outcome! It looks whimsical and fairy-like I think =] Check out the pictures!

I love the different colors and sizes of glitter =]!

I think I'll have to do this combo again, maybe on my toes =]! It will look great once winter gets here...if we ever get below 90 degrees here in AZ. I hope you are all having a fabulous day, love ya =D!!!

Product Review- Violent Lips!

Hi there =]!

I have a FUUUUUUN treat for you guys today! I recently came across this super awesome product and I thought you would like them, too =]! I bet you've never heard of temporary lip tattoos! Well, I hadn't either until I came across Violent Lips. This company creates the craziest, fun lip tattoos that can last 4-8 hours! You can even eat and drink with these things on =]! I thought this would be a great review to do before Halloween because you guys might want a little extra something to spice up your costumes ;D Lets get to it!

Violent Lips come with 3 lip appliques, so you get 3 uses out of each package. For my first use, I decided to use a pink and black checker pattern =]

Haha, they look a little funny when you first open them =P They have to be really big to start, though, because you have to cut them to the size of your lips.

I won't lie, application isn't super easy or fast, but it wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. Here's how to put them on (taken from the Violent Lips website):

"POP: Remove the appliqué out of it’s stencil.
MEASURE: Line the center of the top lip appliqué to your cupid and measure the width and depth of your lip with your mouth open to a wide “Ahh” Shape. Make sure to stay outside your water line.
CUT: Cut to your measurements using the horizontal and vertical guides on the back of the lips.
PEEL: Peel the plastic film off the appliqué.
APPLY: Put the sticky side of the appliqué on your lips, making sure to keep your mouth in the wide “Ahh” shape. Soak the paper backing in water using your cotton ball until the paper starts to slide off.
SEAL: Seal and smooth the appliqués with a generous amount of water using your cotton swab.
** Wait 5 minutes for your lips to fully dry before you apply any product over your lips, eat or drink"

Not too tricky, right? Well here are the photos of my first attempt. Honestly, I'm quite happy with how it turned out for my first time, and I know I will only get better from here =]!

Here's a before shot of my lips...

And after =D! Oooooooh....fun, right?

They do crack a little bit, but it wasn't bad at all, hardly noticeable in person!

This is the most accurate picture as far as the color goes =]

Ta daaaa!

Final Verdict: These are not for the faint of heart! If you like to stand out and get noticed, these are for you! I loved the look of them and I'll definitely wear these for Halloween, costume parties, and concerts in the future. I didn't cut them perfectly this first time (I should have made the outer corners a little thinner...they ended up inside my mouth a little bit =P my bad =P), but the Violent Lips website says when you find a cut that worked well for you, save the paper backing so you have a template for the next use...a VERY good idea! They do feel a bit strange on your lip, but I got used to the feeling pretty fast. Overall, I really like this product. For more information, please visit the Violent Lips website. Also, go ahead and like their Facebook page while you're at it =]! These cost $15 dollars and you can purchase them at Ulta, Sephora, or their website (the website even has some styles on sale!). I think they are worth the price and I would buy these myself =]!

So, what do you guys think =]? I hope you love them, because I have more fun patterns to show you guys in a few days =]!

Lindsey

Weekly Nail Art Challenge- Candy Mani Fail =[

Hello Pretties!

Yes, it's time for the Weekly Nail Art Challenge and you guys voted for candy as the theme....oiiii. This was an unfortunate nail fail =/ I think my concept was cute, but the dang top coat did what top coats do best....smear =[ *sigh* Oh well, I think you guys will like my attempt at least =P!

From L to R- (Thumb) Jelly beans, candy buttons, Peeps, peppermint stripes, and a gummy worm!

At least I tried....right =P?
Not my worst mani ever...I think it would have been super cute if it didn't smear. Oh well! I do like the look of my peppermint nail, so maybe I'll have to do a peppermint mani closer to Christmas time =]

The new poll is up and ready to go, so please vote for next week's theme =]!

Lindsey

October Birchbox!

Greetings, you beautiful followers, you =]!

It's Birchbox day! Hooraaaaaay! If you are unfamiliar with the Birchbox service, click here to read my very first Birchbox post, you'lll learn allllll about it! This month's theme was Prep and Finish, so I received a bunch of products that would help me do just that =]! I was kind of hoping this would be a fun Halloween box....with crazy makeup colors or something...but Birchbox doesn't normally do holiday themed boxes from what I've seen. Its alright, though, because I really like the products in this box! Check out what I got!

Heeeeres the goodies =]!

First, I received Pangea Organics Facial Scrub. As you can see, there are water spots on this because I've been using it in the shower =]! I really like facial scrubs, so I was really excited to give it a try! I think it's a great everyday scrub because it's super gentle and soothing on your skin. However, I tend to like my scrubs a little...eh...scrubbier. Also, the smell isn't my favorite, but you guys should know by now I'm pretty picky with what smells I like =P

Next, I got Blinc Mascara in black. I love all kinds of eye makeup, so I was really happy to get this! Blinc Mascara is a little different than normal mascara because it forms little tubes around your lashes that don't flake or clump. I've used this a few times, and its GREAT for my long days at work or school (I don't get random pieces of mascara falling into my eyes or on my face =P)! To remove it, all you need is warm water and a little pressure- the slide right off! You can even see the little tubes in your hands =P I'm considering buying more of this after it's gone...I'm a fan!

This is what the actual mascara tube looks like, that was just the packaging before =P

I also received Ouidad Climate Control Heat & Humidity Gel. I haven't used this just yet, but I'm interested. I have kind of beachy-wavey hair that frizzes pretty easily when I don't style it, so maybe if I use this it'll let me keep my beachy waves without the frizz! If I get any super spectacular results, I'll be sure to let you all know =]

Next, I received Ahava Mineral Foot Cream. For some reason I always expect foot cream to smell like mint, but this stuff smells differently good; it's sort of like fancy hotel lotion =P I haven't used this on my feet yet,  but I used a little on my hands and it seems like it will work great for feet. It's thicker than normal lotion, but non-greasy. I think I'll slather a bunch of this on my tootsies before bedtime and wear some socks to let it all soak in over night =]!

Last, I got a set of Lash Cards. I haven't used these just yet, but they seem pretty handy dandy! You place the card right behind your lashes as you apply mascara and supposedly it prevents smudging and clumping. I'll probably whip these out the next time I'm doing something special with my makeup and I really don't want to mess up =P

That's my lovely October Box! I'm pretty happy with it overall and I think I'll use up all of these products. Did you get anything different in your box? Don't be afraid to share =]!

Lindsey
