Zoya Summer Chevron Mani!

Hey there!

I hope your week is off to a great start =]! I'm starting to get busy with work, school (summer courses...woo hoo -_-), and getting into shape again so I've been getting pretty worn out with everything. Thank goodness for hobbies like blogging and nails that keep me sane =]! Today, I used three of the Zoya Summer shades, Zoya Meg, Zoya Shelby, and Zoya Arizona, to create a fun chevron mani. If you follow along with the happenings on my Facebook page, you'll remember that I busted my nails up pretty bad over the weekend =[ So, sadly, I'm sporting some rounded shorties for the time being. They aren't so bad really, I actually love short nails! I'm mainly bummed that I had to round them...I don't like that shape on me very much (although some of you girlies can ROCK them!). Anywho, take a look at my shortie chevrons =]!

This design was fairly simple to do...I'm not entirely sure how other people do it, but I freehanded the chevrons and centered them by placing an itty bitty dot for aim (I put the dot where I wanted the center of the chevron to be on my nail and connected the lines to that). I loved this look, but as you can tell, it did get a little thick towards the tips. I must have had a heavy hand on the brush, haha =P Still, I hope you like it and maybe even try this look for yourself =]!

♥,
Lindsey

  3. Beautiful! You must have a very steady hand to have been able to freehand this!

  5. The colors look awesome together! Meg really shines (literally and figuratively.) Nice job, freehanding the chevrons. You all say all this nail art is easy and then the likes of me try it and it somehow just doesn't look the same.... ;)
