Zoya Fall 2012 Designer Collection - Swatches and Review!

Hi there!

As promised via my Facebook page, I have some Zoya Fall swatches for you today =]! I decided to start off with my review of the Designer Collection, but throughout the week I'll be posting my reviews of both the Diva and Gloss Collections. There is so much good stuff coming this Fall, ahh! Now, on to the swatches!

Oooh...check out this spiffy collage for easy pinning, you Pinterest users =]!

Rekha
"Blood Red Cream (Bibhu Mohapatra custom shade)"
2 coats
Check out this bright, knock-out red stunner! I'm not the biggest red fan in the world, but I can always appreciate a beauty when I see one! This baby had a FABULOUS formula...it dried lightening fast and was perfectly opaque in 2 coats. Take your time applying this one, though. Like many bright reds, if you get it on those cuticles it certainly won't be coming off easily. Unless you enjoy red tinted fingers...be careful =P Still, you red lovers will really enjoy this one =]!

Toni
"Dark maroon red cream"
2 coats
Fight, Devils, down the field; Fight with your might and don't ever yield....oops, sorry! The ASU Fight Song came to mind with this one because it's the perfect Sun Devil maroon =]! Hooray for school spirit! You can bet that I'll be wearing this on graduation day (May 2013...couldn't get here ANY sooner). Anywho, just like Rehka, this polish had an awesome formula that dried really quickly and it was nicely opaque in 2 careful coats. This is a very "user-friendly" Fall shade, meaning that nail newbies and polishaholics alike will enjoy this classic, rich shade!

 Monica
"Dark mulberry purple cream"
2 coats
I love me some purples, and this one doesn't disappoint! It's deep, but still pretty vibrant considering how dark of a shade it is. I'd describe it as a slightly dusty eggplant purple. I'm a huge fan of dusty purples, so this is a complete winner in my book! The formula gave me no problems and was an easy 2 coater. Love it!

Natty
"Smoked navy blue cream"
2 coats with help
Favorite alert! What a freaking awesome blue this is, it's like a deep smoky denim! You'll probably be seeing this one in my manis a lot! I could totally see myself rocking this with some gold glitter...soon. Anyway, this formula gave me slight issues with bald spots. Above, I said "2 coats with help" because I had to go back in after my second coat and cover a few small areas that were thin. I'm willing to pay that small price for this gorgeousness, though =]!

Evvie
"Evergreen green cream (Peter Som custom shade)"
2 coats
Oooh...an army green, ladies and gents! The first thing I thought of after seeing this was camouflage; it has that same dusty, dirty (and I say that in a good way!) green look that makes you want to have a paintball fight. Like the other Designer shades, the formula gave me no major problems. I can't wait to pair this color up with some of my fall wardrobe =]!

Noot
"Charcoal green gray cream"
2 coats
Noot is a darker, and IMO bolder, version of Evvie. This charcoal shade with green undertones really worked well on my medium skin tone! I had a couple small bubbles that appeared, but no major formula problems...that very easily could have been a mistake on my part. You know how it is, sometimes you just get impatient and slap on another coat a little too soon =P Nonetheless, you fashionistas out there should invest in this versatile Autumn color!

Great collection, Zoya! I forget how much I love a good cream polish sometimes; it's easy to get caught up in all of the sparkle out there ;D You can purchase these and a ton of other beautiful polishes at www.zoya.com for $8 each. Please be sure to like Zoya's Facebook page, click here!

Check back soon for my Diva and Gloss Collection swatches! Have a great day, guys!

<3,
Lindsey
