TGIF! I hope you all have some splendid weekend plans ahead of you. I plan on taking advantage of some of the holiday sales and sitting on my booty...not too exciting, but still plenty of fun in my opinion =P Today, I have a cute and sparkly mani I wore on my first day of school last week to share with you. I was inspired by one of my all time favorite bloggers, Sammy of The Nailasaurus. She often takes large hex glitter pieces and strategically places them on her cute, short nails...Sammy has lovingly dubbed this look Glequin nails. You can see a great video tutorial on how to create a Glequin mani yourself here. For my take on this look, I didn't have the patience to cover ALL of my nails...so I settled on one fully-covered accent and another with a stripe. I used Kiko 292 as the base (dang, I love my Kiko's...I need to get myself some more of them soon!) with blue holo hex glitters. Even though it took some patience to complete, I really liked the end result and I think it was totally worth the effort! Check it out!
I just loved this look! You will definitely be seeing this technique again...but first, I need some bigger hex glitters in more colors =P!
Have a great Friday =]!
♥,
Lindsey
