It's Monday...and I'm not entirely dreading it! This is the first Monday in a LOOOONG time that I don't have school, so I enjoyed sleeping in this morning =] Don't you just love how I'm not posting in the wee hours of the morning =P? I should make a habit out of this, haha! Anywho, today I have a pretty mani where I used a few different techniques. I used OPI Do You Lilac It? as my base and let it dry thoroughly. Then, I placed pieces of striping tape in criss-cross patterns near the tip of my nail. I used an eyeshadow applicator with Nicole by OPI Kendall on the Katwalk and created a gradient. After removing the striping tape, the results were quite amazing in my opinion! Check it out!
Eeeek! I love this mani so much! I'll have to try this again soon with other colors and finishes, because the result is just so cool...what do you guys think?
By the way...this is my 300th post! A special thank you to all of you, my amazing followers! You make this blogging thing so fun for me, I just love interacting with you guys =] Here's to 300 more =]!!!

Congratulations on 300 posts!! I love this! Was going to do a striping mani myself but love your twist on it so think I'll give it a go xo
ReplyDeleteMuy bonita!!! Me gusto mucho :D
ReplyDeleteThat's a good twist on the striping tape manicure, I'm inspired! Going on the list of things to try. Did you have any trouble with keeping the lines neat on tape removal, or was the glitter application quick enough that it was ok?
ReplyDeleteI didn't have too much trouble with straight lines as long as I removed the tape fairly quicky after I applied the glitter. If you leave the tape down to long, the glitter on top will dry and too much will come off with the tape. Let me know if you give it a try, I'd love to see it =]!
DeleteYour opinion is correct ;o) That looks kickass!
ReplyDeletethis looks so effective i've never thought of doing this before but it looks so great! :)
