Whew, that title was a mouthful =P! I hope you're having a fantastic Wednesday. I'm heading into the last few weeks of this semester of school, so things are becoming a little chaotic...well, more than usual, haha. I will survive, I promise! Today, I have a gorgeous, exciting bunch of cremes, shimmers, and glitters today courtesy of China Glaze; the Cirque Du Soleil: Worlds Away collection. These polishes were inspired by the upcoming release of Cirque Du Soleil: Worlds Away 3D movie that everyone is SO excited for. You can bet that I'll be wearing some of these polishes when I go see it =]! Now, on to the photos...I think you guys are going to like these =]!
From L to R - Surreal Appeal, Escaping Reality, Def Defying, Whirled Away, Running In Circles, and It's A Trap-eze!
This beautiful coral-tinged pink was surprising to me...I really didn't think I'd like it as much as I do! For some reason, corals scare me normally (irrational color fear, I know)...but this actually looked pretty with my skin tone! I also LOVED this formula, it was perfectly opaque in 2 coats and applied incredibly easily. Hooray =]!
You may notice that my normal black background isn't in the next few photos; I had to head outside to get the most accurate photos of this awesome neon pink. I still wasn't satisfied with my camera's interpretation of the color, so below I have a photoshopped image to give you a better representation. The formula was pretty good and it dried to a rubberized finish. I went ahead and topped my swatch with topcoat to show you the finished product, though. I'm a big fan of this one, even if it's a stinker to photograph =P!
Enjoy this Photoshopped image that represents the color more accurately =]
I love lime green, especially this one! It's the perfect, vibrant (but not quite neon) shade that I can totally see myself wearing and using often. It was a little streaky with only 2 coats; a 3rd evened things out nicely. I didn't experience any major staining issue which was a relief with this bright (and usually unforgiving) shade of green. Good stuff, China Glaze =]!
1 coat over Def Defying
Ever since the information about this collection was released, everyone has been completely thrilled about this one! I'm so happy to see a major brand jumping on the unique glitter bandwagon...major brownie points in my book! I love the look of this matte black and white glitter; it really pops over bright colors like Def Defying. Dabbing was really important with this formula due to the chunky, sparse glitter particles. Thankfully, drying time was normal and I didn't end up with a thick, goopy mess. Also, these glitter pieces were completely smooth after a generous portion of topcoat. I'm happy to say that I love this one as much as I though I would =]!
An extra macro shot never hurt anyone =]
Running in Circles
Someone must have added emerald dust to this beauty, because this vivid green glass-fleck shimmer is so rich-looking! I was really happy with the formula and opacity after 2 careful coats, but I have to mention that you'll need to be on the lookout for bald spots, I had to cover up a few after inspection. However, considering that was my only issue with this polish, I am IN LOVE with it! Green lovers, hear me out, this is an absolutely necessary addition to your collections!
It's A Trap-eze!
Here it is, the one in particular that I've been excitedly anticipating since July...a seriously jam-packed glitter in a white crelly (creme-jelly) base. Ooh la la! It's a stunner, ladies and gents! The formula was on the thick side because of all of the glitter, but with patient application I've achieved GREATNESS. I was satisfied with the opacity after 2 coats, but a 3rd couldn't hurt in the future. Again, thank you, China Glaze, for hopping on the funky glitter express, chuga-chuga chooo-choooooo =]!
Another lovely macro, just for you!
China Glaze has earned MAJOR props for thinking outside the box with this collection, especially for releasing these bright colors in the winter time. I'm all for wearing colors like this year round! You'll be able to get your hands on these early December from Sally Beauty Supply and Ulta for $7 a bottle. While you're out shopping, be sure to check out the special Cirque Du Soleil Ardell Lashes ($6) that are also being released in anticipation for the movie!

Have a wonderful day, everyone!
