World Diabetes Day - Blue Melting Mani!

Hey there!

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Today is World Diabetes Day, a special event to raise awareness about this devastating and life changing disease. Did you know that almost 26 million adults and children suffer from Diabetes in the United States alone? If that number doesn't resonate with you, perhaps this will...every 17 seconds, someone in the U.S. is diagnosed with Diabetes. These statistics are RIDICULOUS. By bringing awareness to it's prevalence, encouraging healthy habits, and raising money for research, perhaps we can give Diabetes a serious kick in the butt! Even if you don't have it yourself, almost everyone knows someone who is affected by this disease (several members of my family endure it's nasty effects and difficult lifestyle changes daily). To support Diabetes awareness, prevention, and research, I've pulled a lovely blue melting mani from the archives. I used GOSH Attitude and Zoya Ziv to create this unique look, check it out!

I really enjoyed this fun yet Fall-appropriate look (not that I always coordinate with seasonal colors...haha =P). Attitude is amazing, it's so deep-looking and the formula is PERFECTION. What do you think?

If you'd like to learn more about Diabetes, please visit the American Diabetes Association's informative website. If you feel so inclined, you can also donate to the cause here.

Have a wonderful day, friends!

  3. Very nice mani! I love the color choices. <3

  4. I love this! That blue is gorgeous. I'm a sucker for a nice blue cream! ;)

  5. I love the reason for the manicure and I adore the manicure itself. It is beautiful! Very nicely done!

  6. I know this is an old post, but I just wanted to say thank you so much. I live in the UK, and am 18 years old, and was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes a year ago. It's pretty much destroyed my life, so I really wanted to thank you for doing this piece for such a good cause.
